Relationships Australia is a proud Silver Sponsor of the White Ribbon International conference to be held in Sydney, May 13–15 2013.
The conference theme, Global to Local: Preventing Men’s Violence against Women – Research, Policy and Practice in One Space, focuses attention on what is a shattering issue in our society that results in devastating costs to individuals, our communities and the nation.
Relationships Australia is consistently working towards making a safer community for all families. Relationships Australia has provided behaviour change programs for more than twenty years, for men who use violence in their intimate relationships. One such program in QLD, Alternatives to Aggression, is a program for men who wish to learn, understand and use alternatives to aggression within their relationships.
As part of Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month, Relationships Australia Spring Hill is holding a community event on 22 May at Centro Toombul (1015 Sandgate Rd, Nundah) to raise awareness and educate the important of a community response to domestic and family violence prevention. Counsellors will be in attendance for anyone who may want more information about services and supports.
