What are Rainbow Groups?
Rainbow groups are provided for people of diverse bodies, genders and sexualities, including lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender & intersex (LGBTI) people, as well as those questioning their gender identity or sexual orientation.
Currently we are operating the Transcendence Social and Emotional Support Group and the Yarning Pridely Peer Support Group. Stay in touch as we are planning to offer new groups.
Transcendence Social and Emotional Support group
Transcendence is a social and emotional support group for transgender and gender-diverse individuals, or those questioning their gender identity.
The group is held on every third Tuesday of the month, from 5:30pm-7:30pm. The location is our Spring Hill venue, at 159 St. Paul’s Terrace, Brisbane (just a short walk from Fortitude Valley Station).
If you would appreciate speaking to one of the Transcendence facilitators before you come, please call 1300 364 277 and request a call back.
Yarning Pridely Peer Support Group
Yarning Pridely is an in-person peer support group for our First Nations LGBTQIA+SB communities aged 18+.
It is held monthly at our Spring Hill venue.
This monthly yarning circle will be semi-structured with the aim to provide a holistic healing and safe space for connection. Our long-term goal is for the group to evolve into what the communities need by hosting guest speakers and artists.
There's no fee to attend and no ongoing commitment - just drop in when you'd like.
