Overview
The Senior Social Connection Program is a free program which supports older people to access a range of peer support and community-based activities.
This program aims to reduce social isolation and loneliness in older people.
Who is this service for?
The Senior Social Connection Program (SSCP) is for people ages 60 and over (or 50 and over for First Nations Peoples) in Gympie and the Sunshine Coast.
Meet-ups, workshops, and courses
Cuppa and Conversations | Sunshine Coast
Cuppa and Conversations are free fortnightly meet-ups for seniors in Sunshine Coast to meet, make friends, and enjoy morning tea.
Coffee Connections | Gympie
Coffee Connections are free weekly meet-ups for seniors in Gympie to meet, make friends, and socialise while enjoying coffee and cake.
Savvy Seniors | Sunshine Coast | Gold Coast
Our Savvy Seniors workshop focuses on empowers you to look after yourself and make informed decisions later in life.
Navigating Healthy Ageing
Our 7-week Navigating Healthy Ageing course focuses on empowers you to look after yourself and make informed decisions later in life. This course starts on 7 April 2025.

I’m writing on behalf of my wife and myself to express our thanks to Relationships Australia Queensland for the excellent seniors’ course.
It’s not often people combine excellent content knowledge and communication skills with a genuine concern for the group they’re working with.
Our teacher did this and clearly won the appreciation of the entire group.
Allowing 30 minutes following the formal part of the class so she could discuss individual concerns was an excellent feature, and she always had people keen to do this.
This is knowledge which we will all need as we grow older, and we are very appreciative of the efforts.
